JAMES was the youngest son of GEORGE NETTLESHIP & SARAH MORLEY.
In 1841, James was living in Manvers Street Sneinton with his mother.
In 1851 he was married and living in Walker Street Sneinton.
In 1861 James & Harriett were at Manvers Street with three children.
By 1871 they were at 14 Lewis Place with three children, but no sign of Sarah or Elizabeth.
1881 shows them at 2 Lewis Place, with Kate, George, grandson James and visitor Thurman Reynolds, presumably a relative of Harriett.
In 1891, Harriett was a visitor at 3 Lammas Street, while James was living with his daughter Kate at 33 Nath Street.
His marriage certificate shows his father as George Nettleship (deceased)
which is clear evidence that he is the son, rather than the grandson, of George & Sarah.

Sarah Ann N is presumably the Lace Dresser shown in 1871 as the neice of William Thorpe at Kingston Street.
In 1881 James (1850) lived at 5 Lewis Place with his wife Mary and daughters Marion and Pheobe.
Kate (Brailsford) was married and widowed by 1891, when she lived at 33 North Street with her son Harry, her father,
her brother George and his wife Ellen, and visitor Annie Jamson, presumably a relative of Ellen.
In 1901 Kate & Frank Russell are at 4 Guys Terrace, with Harry Russell age 15 a Lace Clipper.
James was an entertainer (clown) for a time, and travelled around the country, his daughter Marion being born in Stirling,
but finally settled in the Meadows near Trent Bridge, Nottingham.
His eldest son James died young, his wife Lilian having died previously, and James & Mary brought up their grandson Albert and an "adopted" daughter Lizzie Reynolds,
again possibly a relative of Harriett.
Christopher Brailsford died 16.2.1890. Frank Russell was a noted fisherman, and is believed to have run a fishing tackle shop on Carrington Street,
where he died 15.10.1932. Kate's son Frank is believed to have gone to New Zealand about 1920.
Nothing further is known about Sarah Ann or Elizabeth.
George lived in St Annes Nottingham and still has great grandchildren in Nottingham.
