CHARLES WILDbap 1850m d 1905 ? ? ?

William sen was lock-keeper and toll collector for the Grantham Canal, at its junction with the River Trent. He was a talented painter, and played host to Henry Dawson on his return visits to Nottingham. William moved to Beeston in later life.
William jun was a timber merchant by trade, but was also a noted local artist in watercolours. His work is represented in the collection at Nottingham Castle Museum, and his paintings are much sought after.
Charles continued the family tradition, moving on to painting in oils, and is known to have had a work exhibited in London in 1879.
