GEORGE was the eldest son of GEORGE NETTLESHIP & SARAH MORLEY

Known Children

Although by then married, George is shown in the 1841 Census at Manvers St Sneinton, along with his mother and siblings Mary, Sarah, Ann and James. Selina is shown at Viller Street, Beeston with their three eldest children.

In 1851, George appears at Queen Street with his son William, but Selina, Henry & Mary are still to be found. John is recorded as a Framesmith in Sneinton.

In 1861, Henry & Sophia and family are at North Gate Basford, while George and William are listed as boarders at 18 St John St Nottm;
Selina is boarding at Market Street Basford above the Grocers shop where she worked; John is a lodger at 18 Queens Road Nottm.

In 1871, George is apparently married again to Jane, and living 8 Argyle yard.
Henry & Sophia are at 57 Marple St with children Emily & George (no sign of Clara), and William now married to Sarah lived at 3 Mabbotts Yard.
John & Naomi are living at 23 Carrington St with their two children (Naomi was born in Chard Somerset).

In1881, George could be on his own at 9 Angle Yard or 9 Plumtree St. William & Sarah are at Meynell St with 3 children and Sarah's mother.

In 1891 William & Sarah lived 12 Meynell Street with Ada, Flora, William and Arthur.
Henry appears at 37 Sherwin St with his daughter emily, now married to John Davenport, and 4 Boarders who would appear to be John's mother and siblings.
